Why We Built This Lodge
This lodge began as a dream whispered between generations — a dream rooted in a deep love for the land, a responsibility to protect it, and a desire to offer others a window into a way of life that is slowly fading. As an indigenous family from the region, we’ve grown up with the rhythms of the rainforest. The songs of the howler monkeys, the scent of the ceibo trees, and the stories told by our elders are part of who we are.
But we also witnessed a troubling pattern — travelers coming to the Amazon, but only scratching the surface. Communities were often bypassed, traditions overlooked, and the depth of the jungle experience diluted by convenience or commercial tourism.
We built this lodge to change that.
